I came accros this Website while looking for more information on Kevin. I met him 1997 in Tanda where he was posted. I was 16. We became friends. He taught me English and how to play the guitare. After school, in the evening time I paid him a visit and he played “No woman No Cry” of Bob Marley. He was a good guy, full of life. Everyone loved him in the neighborhood. I left for Burkina Faso a few months later after we met to continue my education and got a letter from my family. A letter I will never forget… Kevin was my friend, my mentor, my hero…
I plan to send you a history of Kevin. I’m doing a toastmaster contest speech about Kevin. I want to send you a copy of the speech. Please send your email. I will send you an attachment.
I’m an RPCV, Benin and was traveling to CI just after Kevin was killed. While I was there, they had arrested his killer. I bought a newspaper with the announcement and I still have it. I would be happy to share it with whomever. Let me know.
I would be grateful if you can share the newspaper with me. As I mentioned in my post, recently Kevin meant a lot to me and still does. Today I am cartoonist and just got the crazy idea to do a cartoon on him and his work. A kind of biography. Any information on him before he came to Cote d’Ivoire would help.
I’m Kevin’s dad Paul Leveille. I can email you a photo of Kevin. Thank you for reaching out. It is more then 20 years since he passed . I think of Kevin every day. He was a very easy child to raise. He loved and served the environment as much as possible. I want to share Kevin with you.
