Tommy Laffey spent 3 years in Malawi and enjoyed his time there. He had a great camaraderie with the other volunteers and his students. He was a fun loving young man who was drawn to the Peace Corps by his desire to serve those less fortunate. He came from a loving, caring family that misses him dearly. Even though his parents have passed there is not a day that goes by that his four sisters do not think about him and how much they miss him. Our family can find solace in the fact that Tommy died doing something that he got true gratification from.

My Uncle Tommy died way to young but he loved his time teaching with the Peace Corp in Malawi.
I have wonderful memories of him and all of the interesting items that he would come back with from Malawi to amaze all of his nieces and nephews.
